Description
In Bavaria as a high-tech and media location, the media industry is an important economic factor with great growth potential in the creative-technical sector.
The FilmFernsehFonds Bayern (FFF Bayern) is responsible for film funding in Bavaria. It supports the production of cinema and television films. Other areas of funding include, for example, the promotion of screenplays, new talent, distribution and sales as well as film theaters. New innovative formats such as web series, VR experiences and international co-productions in the film and series sector and in the area of executive producers (VFX) are also eligible for funding.
The funding is intended to contribute to increasing the artistic and cultural quality of film and television production and the performance of the Bavarian production industry and to ensure a diverse cultural landscape. It is also intended to contribute to strengthening the audiovisual sector in Europe.
Depending on the funding area, screenwriters, producers and executive producers, distribution and sales companies and commercial film theater operators are eligible to apply.
