Depending on the type of funding, different persons are eligible for funding: In the case of funding for housing construction and modernization measures, these may be the owners of land, heritable building rights or usufructuaries. In the case of funding for the purchase of housing, the purchasers of the housing are eligible for funding. In the case of funding for the granting of occupancy and rental commitments for existing housing, the owners of the housing or other persons entitled to do so are eligible for funding.
Funding is provided for the total costs of a project, i.e. all costs incurred in connection with the construction, modernization or acquisition of housing.
The actual circumstances at the time of funding approval are decisive.
When purchasing housing for the first time, both the purchase price and the additional acquisition costs (e.g. notary, land registry or land acquisition costs) can be subsidized.
The prerequisite is that the purchase price corresponds to the local housing market and is economically appropriate.
The subsidy is granted as a credit/loan.
For structural measures in existing buildings to adapt rented accommodation to the needs of people with disabilities, owners of rented accommodation can receive a performance-free building loan of up to EUR 10,000.
