The Bavarian State Ministry of Housing, Building and Transport and the district governments recruit university graduates and professionals with technical degrees related to construction with a Bachelor's degree or Dipl.-Ing. (FH) as junior staff for entry into the civil service career in the third qualification level on January 1 of each year for the following specialist areas
- Building construction and urban planning
- mechanical engineering
- electrical engineering
- Road construction and civil engineering
- water management
- Technical environmental protection
- Nature conservation and landscape management
The Bavarian State Ministry of Housing, Building and Transport and the district governments recruit university graduates and professionals with a Master's degree or Dipl.-Ing. (Univ.) as junior staff for entry into the civil service career in the fourth qualification level for the following specialist areas as of November 1 of each year
- building construction
- urban planning, housing, mobility
- Mechanical and electrical engineering
- Road construction and civil engineering, traffic
- Water management
The preparatory service takes place as a civil servant on revocation as a candidate or trainee. The duration, including the examination period, is 15 months or 24 months. You will have the opportunity to familiarize yourself with your future tasks under the supervision of qualified trainers. Seminars alternate with periods of practical training. Work shadowing at relevant specialist authorities complements the training.
During the preparatory service, candidates and trainee lawyers are paid in accordance with the Bavarian pay scale. Successful completion of the course (qualification examination) enables you to be taken on as a probationary civil servant and later for life.
