The Deutschlandstipendien program supports students of all nationalities at German universities who are expected to achieve or have already achieved outstanding academic or professional results. Talented and high-achieving students as well as first-year students are supported. In addition to academic achievements, extracurricular or extracurricular commitment as well as special personal or family circumstances are also taken into account.

Scholarship holders are supported with a monthly amount of 300.00 euros. The scholarships are financed from private funds raised by the universities and from public funds from the federal government.

The scholarship is awarded to students and first-year students on the basis of talent and performance. Among other things, the following are taken into account
- previous achievements
- personal career to date
- social commitment
- willingness to take on responsibility
- Special social, family or personal circumstances
The scholarship will not be awarded if the student receives other material support based on talent and performance, provided that the amount of this support is not less than a monthly average of EUR 30 per semester for which the support was granted.
