If you have formed a civil partnership and require a new civil partnership certificate, you can apply for this at the registry office. Please contact the registry office in whose jurisdiction the partnership was established. The civil partnership certificate proves that you have entered into a civil partnership with your civil partner. Among other things, it contains the names you use in the civil partnership. It also states the place and date of establishment. You can receive the civil partnership certificate in various forms:
- As a civil partnership certificate
- As a certified printout from the civil partnership register. This printout contains all the data entered in the civil partnership register.
If changes occur after the establishment of the partnership, for example due to a change of name, the entry in the register is supplemented by a subsequent certification. On request, the registry office can then issue you with a new civil partnership certificate.
