Structures may not be erected if they could interfere with air traffic control facilities. The Federal Supervisory Authority for Air Navigation Services decides on the basis of an expert opinion from the air navigation service provider whether the erection of the structures may interfere with air navigation facilities.
For this purpose, it is necessary that the responsible air traffic control authority obtains knowledge of structures or other installations that are planned within the protection area of an air traffic control facility.
The Federal Supervisory Authority for Air Navigation Services officially publishes the locations of all air traffic control facilities and areas around them where interference from structures is to be expected (see "Related links").
