The advanced training course in sports field maintenance with a state examination requires a degree in a "green profession" as a farmer, gardener, forester or winegrower and three years of subsequent professional experience.
In the advanced training course to become a sports field maintenance specialist, the main areas of responsibility are taught:

- Green space maintenance
- Professional maintenance of outdoor sports facilities

In theory, but above all in practice, the instructors pass on the necessary knowledge and skills to the participants. A 12-week internship is completed between the courses. This gives the future sports ground maintenance specialist an insight into the operation of outdoor sports facilities.
