Pregnancy counseling; application for funding by providers of state-recognized counseling centers for pregnancy issues

The Free State of Bavaria supports the providers of state-recognized advice centres for pregnancy issues.

Purpose

The purpose of the funding is to ensure a sufficient pluralistic range of local advice centers.

Object

Eligible for funding are the providers in accordance with Art. 17 of the Bavarian Pregnancy Counselling Act (BaySchwBerG) of state-recognized counselling centres for pregnancy issues with a defined catchment area in the Free State of Bavaria.

Recipients of funding

The providers of state-recognized pregnancy advice centres are eligible to apply, provided they meet the requirements of Art. 17 BaySchwBerG.

Eligible costs

Funding is available for management and administrative costs (personnel and material expenses) of the provider of state-recognized pregnancy advice centres, which are spent on the operation of pregnancy advice centres in accordance with §5 of the Implementing Ordinance to the Bavarian Pregnancy Advice Act (BaySchwBerV) in the currently valid version.

Type and amount

The management and administration costs (personnel and material expenses) of the provider are eligible up to an amount of € 2,150 per funded specialist and administrative position. Funding is provided as partial funding within the framework of project funding. Grants are awarded for up to 65% of the eligible expenditure incurred by the funding body.

Providers of state-recognized advice centres for pregnancy issues that meet the requirements of Art. 17 BaySchwBerG. These include, for example

Affiliation with independent or public welfare organizations
Proof of necessary experience based on previous practical activities in the social sector
Offer a guarantee of proper advice and fulfillment of the obligations under Art. 16 BaySchwBerG
Proof that employees have been instructed about the duty of confidentiality and the criminal consequences of breaches of this duty
Obligation to facilitate supervision and professional training for employees.
