Cross-border cooperation in the Bavarian-Czech border region is supported by the INTERREG program "Bavaria-Czech Republic".
This form can be submitted electronically (e.g. via a secure contact form using your user account with login via the electronic ID function or the ELSTER certificate) or handwritten and signed in paper form to the responsible authority.
The INTERREG Bavaria Czech Republic 2021-2027 cross-border cooperation program builds on the EU program Free State of Bavaria - Czech Republic Objective ETC 2014-2020.
The INTERREG Bavaria Czech Republic 2021-2027 program promotes cross-border cooperation in the Bavarian-Czech border region.
The aim of the program is to overcome challenges together and to further develop the common living, natural and economic space in the Bavarian-Czech border region.
Funding is possible in the following five priorities:
Funding volume: The European Regional Development Fund (ERDF) is providing the program for the implementation of cross-border projects in the Bavarian-Czech border region with EU funding amounting to EUR 99 million.
Funding area: On the Bavarian side, the funding area includes the districts of Amberg-Sulzbach, Bayreuth, Cham, Deggendorf, Freyung-Grafenau, Hof, Kronach, Kulmbach, Neustadt an der Waldnaab, Passau, Regen, Regensburg, Schwandorf, Straubing-Bogen, Tirschenreuth and Wunsiedel im Fichtelgebirge, the independent cities of Amberg, Bayreuth, Hof, Passau, Regensburg, Straubing and Weiden in der Oberpfalz as well as the districts of Plzeňský kraj (Pilsen district), Karlovarský kraj (Karlovy Vary district) and Jihočeský kraj (South Bohemia district) on the Czech side.
The funding rates amount to up to 80% of the total project costs eligible for co-financing.
There are also funding opportunities for citizen-oriented "small projects" from the so-called small project fund in the 2021-2027 funding period.

Application processing offices in the Czech Republic: Karlovy Vary Region, Pilsen Region, South Bohemia Region.
Applications are submitted in the so-called "Joint Electronic Monitoring System (Jems)" of the INTERREG Bavaria-Czech Republic 2021-2027 program (see under "Online procedure"). The Bavarian-Czech Monitoring Committee decides on the planning of projects. It usually meets twice a year and decides autonomously and independently on the scheduling of the submitted funding projects. The Free State of Bavaria supports forward-looking projects in rural areas in the administrative districts of Lower Bavaria, Upper Palatinate and Upper Franconia with a cross-border character and an interdisciplinary approach.
Cross-border cooperation in the Austrian-Bavarian border region is funded by the INTERREG VI-A program Bavaria - Austria 2021-2027.
"Interreg VI B Northwest Europe" is an EU funding program to strengthen transnational cooperation between the countries of Northwest Europe. Funding is provided for joint projects between transnational partners in selected subject areas.
