Training companies; applying for funding for the training of young people under the age of 25

Up to 5,760 euros in support for companies providing in-company training for young people with qualification barriers.

Training companies can process applications completely digitally via ESF Bavaria 2021. Before submitting an application, the training company can obtain an initial assessment of whether the training relationship is likely to be eligible for funding under Funding Check.

Purpose

The funding provides financial support to companies that train young people with qualification barriers. The aim is to increase the chances of finding a company-based training position for young people who, for various reasons, have difficulties in obtaining a training position. The aim is to promote their entry into working life and successful completion of training.

Object

Funding is provided for in-company training in recognized training occupations in accordance with the provisions of the Vocational Training Act (BBiG) or the Crafts Code (HwO) in Bavaria for young people under the age of 25 with qualification barriers for up to 16 months.

Recipients of funding

The "Fit for Work - Training Opportunities" funding from the European Social Fund Plus is aimed directly at training companies. Training companies based in Germany * that conclude a training contract for in-company (dual) vocational training * with a young person under the age of 25 with qualification barriers * in a recognized training occupation in accordance with the Vocational Training Act (BBiG) or the Crafts Code (HwO) and * carry out the training in Bavaria are eligible to apply.

Eligible costs

Eligible costs are a lump sum of the training allowance for in-company training in accordance with the provisions of the Vocational Training Act (BBiG) or the Crafts Code (HwO) in Bavaria.

Type and amount

The funding is granted as a subsidy.

The type of grant is a project grant.
Funding is provided over a period of between 6 month(s) and 16 month(s).

Grant of EUR 360 per month of training (fixed amount) for up to 16 months from the European Social Fund Plus (ESF+), up to a total of EUR 5,760.

Exclusion criteria:

Funding is excluded in particular if

the trainee has already completed vocational training or
the training relationship is already being supported by public funds elsewhere or
another funding requirement is not fulfilled.

Required document/s
- Vocational training contract: Vocational training contract with registration note from the competent chamber
- Last certificate of the trainee: Last certificate of the trainee from a general education school or a business school (also for special educational support); if a certificate cannot be submitted, in justified cases the submission can be replaced by prima facie evidence.
- If applicable, agreement on AsA measure: When submitting an application for trainees who are supported with assisted training (AsA), the training company submitting the application must also submit a declaration from the training provider stating when the AsA measure was agreed with the trainee.
- If applicable, proof of secure residence status for trainees from third countries: Proof of secure residence status for trainees from third countries, e.g. residence permit, settlement permit, alternatively proof of tolerated stay for training in accordance with Section 60c AufenthG.

The company can obtain an initial assessment at foerdercheck.bayern.de as to whether the training relationship is likely to be eligible for funding.
A training contract is concluded with a young person under the age of 25 with qualification barriers.
The company applies for "Fit for Work - Chance Ausbildung" funding online in ESF Bavaria 2021 within the maximum period of three months (separate deadlines if an Assisted Training measure - AsA - is agreed).
The Zentrum Bayern Familie und Soziales will check the application for funding; if necessary, supporting documents must be submitted electronically.
The Zentrum Bayern Familie und Soziales generally approves funding for 16 months (approval period).
The training relationship must exist for at least six full months.
At the end of the approval period, the company applies online in ESF Bavaria 2021 for payment of the funding amount. If the training relationship is terminated prematurely, there is a pro rata entitlement (€360 multiplied by the number of full months that the training relationship has existed).
The application for payment will be checked by the Zentrum Bayern Familie und Soziales, and supporting documents may have to be submitted electronically.
The grant is paid to the company in one lump sum.

There are no costs.

The application period is between 1 month(s) and 3 month(s). Applications must be submitted no later than three months after the start of training (cut-off period). Separate deadlines apply if an AsA measure has been agreed.

A processing time of 1 month(s) to 12 month(s) is to be expected.
