Successful integration is a key success factor for social cohesion and peaceful coexistence in Bavaria. In addition to the German language and integration into education and work, teaching values is an important building block of integration. The Free State of Bavaria therefore supports the implementation of a wide range of programs to teach values.
Purpose
The purpose of the funding is to bring immigrants closer to our values and culture and to make them understandable so that they can better find their way in everyday life and in our society. The teaching of values includes the foundations of our legal and value system such as understanding democracy, equal rights and tolerance, strengthening the acceptance of these fundamental values and rules and imparting knowledge about our culture. Intercultural and interreligious encounters and exchanges are intended to strengthen mutual understanding and social coexistence. At the same time, the support is intended to make it easier for new immigrants to settle into society with practical help and to show them opportunities to participate in society.
The measures thus serve to maintain social peace and promote basic social and communication skills as important precursor skills for further integration steps, particularly in education and on the labor market.
Object
As part of the purpose of the grant, funding is provided for the project-related implementation of value education programs and the training of the personnel to be deployed for this purpose. The funded formats include courses, workshops, exchange meetings and further training. The value communication offers should include both knowledge transfer and practical forms of participation.
Recipients of funding
All legally responsible organizations that have the necessary reliability and capacity to carry out the project and whose previous activities are expected to achieve the funding purpose are eligible to apply.
Eligible expenditure
Project-related personnel and material expenses within the scope of the funding purpose are eligible for funding. The amount of personnel expenses eligible for funding is based on the maximum rates for personnel expenses published by the Bavarian Ministry of Finance.
Type and amount
The grant is awarded as a non-repayable subsidy for project funding by way of pro rata financing, generally amounting to a maximum of 90% of the eligible expenditure. State funding requires a personal contribution by the grant recipient (own contribution) of at least 10% of the eligible expenditure.
Grants under the Value Projects funding guideline are awarded without legal obligation and within the limits of available budget funds.
In addition to observing the above-mentioned requirements and the information on the procedure, the further requirements can be found in detail in the "Funding guidelines for value projects" (see "Legal basis").
The application, together with a meaningful project description and the expenditure and financing plan, must be sent to the Bavarian State Ministry of the Interior, Sports and Integration (StMI) - Department G2 - by e-mail (Sachgebiet-G2@stmi.bayern.de) in advance for approval.
Once the project has been approved by the StMI, the application must be submitted to the granting authority by e-mail (Sachgebiet-15.integration@reg-mfr.bayern.de).
For further details on the application process, please refer to the applicable funding guidelines (see "Legal basis").
The Government of Middle Franconia is responsible for carrying out the funding procedure. The approval period generally covers a calendar and financial year (January 1 to December 31).
none
Applications should generally be submitted at least two months before the start of the project.
Funding is not provided if other funds from the Free State of Bavaria are used for the eligible expenditure incurred. Complementary funding with funds from local authorities, the federal government or the European Union is possible without prejudice to the requirement for the applicant's own contribution, which is generally 10%.
