Benefits for farm and household help from the Agricultural Pension Fund (LAK) may be available
The LAK ensures that your farm or household continues to operate and that your income base is maintained. The benefits for farm and household help mainly cover work that cannot be postponed.
The LAK either provides a qualified employee for this purpose, which is known as a "provided employee". Or you can find a replacement yourself.
The provided workers can be SVLFG employees or employees of other organizations, for example a machinery ring or a company support service.
If you procure a replacement yourself, we will reimburse the costs for this to an appropriate amount; maximum amounts apply. Please note that no deployment costs can be covered for relatives and in-laws up to the second degree. The replacement employee must also be external to the company, i.e. they must not otherwise work in the company or in the household or help out significantly.
In the event of incapacity for work, benefits for business and household help are possible for a maximum of 4 weeks, in the case of inpatient treatment for a maximum of 13 weeks. An extension is possible under certain conditions.
After the death of the farmer, farm and household help is possible for up to 12 months within 2 years of the date of death.

Depending on the reason for use, the permanent employment of employees or family members working with you may lead to the exclusion of the benefit. The LAK will check this on a case-by-case basis.
Activities in non-agricultural parts of the company (ancillary companies) are excluded from farm and household help.
You can apply for LAK company and household assistance benefits by post, fax, e-mail or online.
