Procedure details

The specialist career in police and constitutional protection with the degree "Diplom-Verwaltungswirt/-in (FH)" takes into account the Bavarian police's need for young talent and is intended to secure it in the long term.

The specialist course of study takes place at the Police Department of the University of Applied Sciences for the Civil Service in Fürstenfeldbruck, Sulzbach-Rosenberg and Kastl.

Practical training at various police stations rounds off the course.

The police department provides training for the police career path (protective and criminal police) and constitutional protection for the 3rd qualification level. Due to the later possible transfer from the (uniformed) police enforcement service to the criminal investigation service and vice versa, the police department has the special feature that no separate specializations (courses of study) have been set up.

Studies begin twice a year, at the beginning of March and the beginning of September. The recruitment figures are based on the needs of the Bavarian police force. The course of study first requires the establishment of a civil servant relationship on revocation with a Bavarian employer. This employer then assigns the civil servant to study at the university.

The prerequisite for establishing a civil servant relationship is first of all the passing of a state-wide selection procedure in which all applicants of a year group must participate.

Students receive free accommodation at the place of study during the theoretical part of their studies.
