Grape harvest; notification

The quantities of wine harvested in the year (in hectoliters of wine, with two decimal places) are reported to the Bavarian State Institute for Viticulture and Horticulture (Bayerische Landesanstalt für Weinbau und Gartenbau), sorted by district, vineyard and quality level, as well as the quantities of wine sold to other companies.

Natural or legal persons or their associations who harvest grapes from vineyards of 10 ares or more, or who sell or market grapes or must to others, regardless of the size of the vineyards, are subject to the obligation to register. Members of producer groups or cooperatives and grape producers who process their entire harvest themselves or have it processed on their account are exempt from the obligation to register. In Bavaria, the grape harvest declaration is submitted together with the wine production declaration on a joint form.
