Operators who offer commercial balloon flights, i.e. balloon flights for a fee or other monetary consideration, must notify the competent authority of the commencement of their activities by submitting a declaration.
By submitting the declaration, the operators confirm that they
- have the capacity and means to assume the responsibilities associated with the operation of the balloon and
- meet the legal requirements of subsection BAS and subsection ADD of Annex II to Regulation (EU) No 2018/395.
Fees
There are no costs for accepting the declaration. However, there are follow-up costs due to the supervisory activities of the authority.
Deadlines
The declaration must be submitted before commencing commercial activity.
