Victims of violence can apply for further sessions at a trauma outpatient clinic in Bavaria.
This form can be submitted electronically without signature (e.g. via a secure contact form or by e-mail) or in paper form to the responsible authority.
Victims of violence as well as their relatives, survivors and loved ones are entitled to psychotherapeutic care in the form of early psychotherapeutic intervention in so-called trauma outpatient clinics.
The trauma outpatient clinics can provide a wide range of services and ancillary services. There are often long waiting times in the psychotherapeutic and psychiatric field and therefore difficulties in receiving prompt treatment. However, fast and unbureaucratic help and immediate measures are very important, especially for victims of violence.
The aim is to prevent psychological trauma or at least to alleviate and heal it.
As part of acute therapy, up to five sessions can be provided for adults and up to eight sessions for children. If necessary, a further ten sessions can be approved on application. The trauma outpatient clinics can help with the application.
Travel costs to the nearest trauma outpatient clinic or to the nearest trauma outpatient clinic with free places can also be reimbursed. Travel costs can also be reimbursed for children who need to be taken along. The same applies to necessary accompanying persons. Furthermore, in certain cases, care costs for family members who need care or assistance can be reimbursed.
In addition to people directly affected by a violent crime, their relatives, survivors and loved ones can also make use of the services of the trauma outpatient clinic.
The requirements for entitlement to treatment in a trauma outpatient clinic are in particular
The first two sessions of the trauma outpatient clinic can be used without submitting an application in order to ensure low-threshold and prompt help.
After the second session at the latest, an application for benefits in accordance with SGB XIV should be submitted (if necessary with the support of the trauma outpatient clinic). This application is a substantive legal prerequisite for entitlement to further sessions at the trauma outpatient clinic and for entitlement to care under the Victims Compensation Act. Further information can be found under "Related topics".
Applications for further sessions in the trauma outpatient clinic are not bound to any particular form, but at least a description of the act of violence is required so that the requirements for the services of the trauma outpatient clinic can be checked. You can use the form for applying for benefits for victims of violence in accordance with the Act on Compensation for Victims of Violent Crimes as a guide (see "Further links"). The trauma outpatient clinics can help you with the application.
