If you work in the technical field of radiation protection (e.g. operating X-ray equipment or handling radioactive substances), you must provide proof of the necessary specialist knowledge. You can apply for this from the competent authority.
If you intend to operate X-ray equipment or handle radioactive substances, you will need a certificate of competence from the competent authority for radiation protection as proof of the specialist knowledge you have acquired.
To do this, you must first successfully complete a recognized course to acquire the specialist knowledge. You can then apply for a certificate of specialist knowledge with additional documents.
X-ray equipment and sources of interference are subject to mandatory testing by experts in accordance with radiation protection legislation. Copies of the test reports and certificates issued by the experts must be sent to the relevant competent authority.
