It is possible to strengthen health with health promotion and prevention measures at any age. In addition to general information, there are various offers for individual target groups, for example for children and young people, as well as for health promotion in living environments such as kindergartens and schools. The local health authority provides information on these topics and offers in the region.

Numerous project reports from all administrative districts are presented in the Prevention Network of the Bavarian Center for Prevention and Health Promotion.

The Gesund.Leben.Bayern. initiative of the Bavarian State Ministry of Health, Care and Prevention also supports model prevention projects. Exemplary, successful projects in the areas of "Growing up healthy", "Workplace prevention culture", "Growing older healthily" and "Equal health opportunities" are also listed in the Bavarian Prevention Plan. The Prevention Master Plan will further strengthen prevention, health promotion and health awareness from mid-2025. In addition to the most common physical and mental illnesses, it also addresses addiction prevention, the prevention of infections and dealing with health risks caused by climate change.
