In order to exercise the profession of "State-certified food chemist", nationals of a member state of the European Union and a third country require recognition of the training acquired abroad. The government of Upper Bavaria is responsible for the recognition procedure throughout Bavaria.

If the appeal does not have suspensive effect, an application for a stay of enforcement may be filed with the issuing authority or the appeals authority pursuant to § 80(4) VwGO.
