Procedure details

Drivers and passengers of trucks with a maximum permissible mass of more than 3.5 tons (3.5 t maximum permissible mass) and buses and coaches are subject to special regulations for their protection and in the interests of road safety. These apply uniformly throughout the European Union. They regulate, among other things, the permitted daily and weekly driving times, the minimum breaks to be taken and the daily and weekly rest periods for drivers.
