Procedure details

With the Max Weber Program, we support talented students at Bavarian universities. Our scholarship holders receive individual support during their studies and benefit from the program's broad funding approach. This includes an educational allowance of 1,290 euros per semester and financial support for stays abroad as well as professional and personal support.

Content of the support

The Max Weber Program offers more than just financial support. It opens up a wide range of opportunities for our scholarship holders. They receive individual support during their studies and are encouraged early on to gain experience abroad or take their first steps in research.

We also support our scholarship holders in their personal development with a variety of offers. These include soft skills seminars and language courses as well as summer academies, for example.

School leavers must have an Abitur grade of at least 1.30 and achieve a minimum score in certain subjects during the sixth form and in the Abitur. None of the half-year grades must be lower than 12 points. If all requirements are met, you will be recommended by the school management and can be accepted into the program after passing a selection process.

Students at Bavarian universities with outstanding academic achievements can also qualify for funding if they are nominated by a university teacher, the head of an elite degree program or the examinations office. Students from the third semester onwards can also apply themselves.
