Crafts; application for the issue of a certificate of honor

The Chamber of Skilled Crafts recognizes the achievements of skilled craftsmen in its district by issuing certificates and presenting awards for specific occasions. Certificates are issued on application.

Self-employed craftsmen, guilds and district craft associations can apply to their local Chamber of Crafts for a certificate of honor for outstanding company anniversaries.

Employers can apply to the relevant Chamber of Skilled Crafts for honorary certificates for employees in skilled crafts companies who have been with the company for a certain number of years without interruption.

After at least 10 years of uninterrupted voluntary work as a member of a skilled crafts organization or as a member of an audit or other committee of a skilled crafts organization, an honorary certificate can be applied for from the competent Chamber of Skilled Crafts or awarded by the competent Chamber of Skilled Crafts.

Various awards can be presented to self-employed and non-self-employed tradespeople, and in exceptional cases also to non-tradespeople.

The Chambers of Crafts have guidelines on the awarding of honorary certificates and awards, which are usually decided by the board. They are therefore also responsible for checking the requirements for an honor or award, processing it and managing the data.
