Owners of their own homes can receive a performance-free building loan of up to EUR 10,000.00 for structural measures in existing buildings to adapt their own living space to the needs of people with disabilities (e.g. installation of a disabled bathroom or stair lift, construction of a ramp for wheelchair users).
The Free State of Bavaria supports the adaptation of existing owner-occupied and rented housing to meet the needs of people with disabilities as part of the Bavarian Housing Program with a performance-free building loan of up to EUR 10,000. One of the prerequisites for funding is compliance with certain income limits.
The subsidy is granted as a credit/loan.

There is no legal entitlement to funding.
The procedure is a two-stage process:
Application for disbursement must be made to the district administrative authority.
