Further training in nursing; applying for the recognition of modules or qualifications

You can apply for successfully completed modules or comparable qualifications to be credited towards further training in nursing.

This form can be submitted electronically (e.g. via a secure contact form using your user account with login via the electronic ID function or the ELSTER certificate) or handwritten and signed in paper form to the responsible authority.

Upon application, successfully completed modules or comparable qualifications can be credited to further training courses in accordance with Section 52 (2) Nos. 1 to 4 of the Ordinance on the Implementation of the Nursing and Residential Care Quality Act and Further Training in Nursing and Midwifery (AVPfleWoqG), provided that the content is equivalent.

In accordance with Section 54 (1) AVPfleWoqG, successfully completed modules or comparable qualifications can be credited towards further training, provided that the content is equivalent.

If the modules or comparable qualifications are credited, the examinations in accordance with Section 59 (1) AVPfleWoqG are essentially limited to the missing qualifications.

The Association of Nurses in Bavaria, as the competent authority, shall decide on the recognition in writing exclusively in online format. Reasons must be given for any negative decisions.

The following documents are required:
- Curriculum vitae
- Employment references (proof of required professional experience)
- Module handbook (status: start of studies) / Transcript of Records
- Qualification certificates
- Qualification certificates (as detailed as possible regarding the content of the further training - only further training courses that end with an examination will be considered)
- Proof of project (project report, if applicable Bachelor's or Master's thesis with reference to the continuing education course of at least 10 pages)
- Proof of internship or work shadowing
