Market fees; collection

The use of stands at markets may be subject to a charge.

Fees may be charged for the provision of spaces and facilities at weekly markets, flea markets, Christmas markets and other markets.

You can obtain more information about the market fees (e.g. statutes on the levying of market fees or the amount of market fees) in your municipality from your local authority.

(Optional) appeal procedure

Appeal Proceedings (Optional); Filing an Appeal
If the appeal does not have suspensive effect, an application for a stay of enforcement may be filed with the issuing authority or the appeals authority pursuant to § 80(4) VwGO. Alternatively, pursuant to § 80(5) VwGO, an application may be filed with the competent Bavarian Administrative Court to order or restore the suspensive effect of the appeal.

Please note: In cases involving the collection of public levies and costs (Section 80(2), first sentence, No. 1 of the VwGO), an application to the court is generally admissible only if the authority has previously rejected an application for a stay of execution (Section 80(6) VwGO).
