Schools that have applied for funding for the expansion of the digital education infrastructure (dBIR) can submit the proof of use to the responsible government.
This form can be submitted electronically (e.g. via a secure contact form using your user account with login via the electronic ID function or the ELSTER certificate) or handwritten and signed in paper form to the responsible authority.
The purpose of the funding is to establish learning-friendly and resilient, interoperable digital technical educational infrastructures at Bavarian schools and to optimize existing structures.
In order to create optimal conditions for digital learning and teaching, the funding can be used to establish or improve the digital school building network (including WLAN infrastructure), establish or further develop the digital teaching and learning infrastructures (e.g. educational communication and work platforms) and procure display and interaction devices (e.g. document cameras, projectors), digital work equipment (e.g. workstation computers, diagnostic and measuring devices) and, to a certain extent, school-related mobile devices (laptops, notebooks, tablets).
The recipients of the funding are the municipal school authorities of public schools and the authorities of state-approved and recognized alternative schools in Bavaria.
The following are eligible for funding
The grant is provided as a non-repayable subsidy (project funding) in the form of pro rata financing.
The maximum funding rate is 90 percent of the eligible expenditure. The maximum amount of state funding for the entire term of the DigitalPakt Schule 2019 to 2024 is defined for each school expenditure provider (= maximum amount of state funding annex to the dBIR) (see "Legal basis").
In order to receive funding for school investment measures, a school's own media concept is required, which contains all of a school's media education measures (technical-pedagogical deployment concept, further training planning, equipment plan). In addition, the schools update their data once a quarter in the survey on IT equipment in Bavarian schools conducted by the Akademie für Lehrerfortbildung und Personalführung Dillingen (ALP).
As the approval period has now ended, no new applications can be submitted.
All proof of use must be sent to the responsible government by e-mail by 16.05.2025 at the latest.
The application deadline according to the current funding guideline "digital education infrastructure at Bavarian schools" (dBIR - school measures) ended on 30.06.2022.
The approval period ended on 16.05.2024.
The deadline for submitting the complete proof of use ends on 16.05.2025.
In the "Digital education infrastructure at Bavarian schools" (dBIR) funding guideline, general approval has been given for the early start of measures from 17.05.2019 (at the same time as the 2019 to 2024 DigitalPakt Schule administrative agreement comes into force).
Hinweise, Formulare und Anlagen zur Verwendungsbestätigung werden auf der Homepage des Bayerischen Staatsministeriums für Unterricht und Kultus bereitgestellt.
BayernCloud School (ByCS) brings digital and education together and enriches school life in Bavaria. All Bavarian state, municipal and private schools can register to use it.
School authorities can apply for funding from the Federal Republic of Germany (DigitalPakt or federal funding) and from state funds (state funding) for the establishment and expansion of IT infrastructures at schools and for their technical administration.
