The Free State of Bavaria supports the implementation of popular sports activities for people with disabilities.
Sport is of particular importance for the participation of people with disabilities due to its health value, its social function and as part of leisure activities. The funding is intended to enable the organization of popular sports events for people with disabilities and to support the active participation of people with severe disabilities in supra-regional sports events for people with disabilities.
Funding is provided without legal entitlement within the scope of available budget funds.
Funding is provided for training events and courses for groups of people with disabilities.
Eligible applicants are legally responsible and non-profit sports associations operating at state level in Bavaria that provide appropriate services for people with disabilities.
Personnel and material costs are eligible for funding.
The funding is granted as a subsidy.
The grant is awarded as fixed-amount funding in the form of a lump sum.
The event organizer must ensure the qualified, regular and permanent implementation of sports activities for groups of people with disabilities who are unable to participate in generally accessible sports activities due to their disability, with the necessary professional and personnel support.
The associations operating at state level also submit an application for a grant for the respective approval period on behalf of their member organizations.
The application must be submitted to the Zentrum Bayern Familie und Soziales (ZBFS) no later than March 1 of the year following the grant period.
The forms available from the ZBFS are to be used for this purpose.
There are no costs.
The associations submit their applications by March 1 of the year following the approval period.
After examining the application, the ZBFS issues a decision with information on legal remedies.
