If you are in possession of a residence permit that is subject to a residence regulation, you can apply to change the ancillary provisions.
If, as a foreign national, you are subject to a residence obligation for a specific location, you can, under certain conditions, have this residence obligation lifted or changed if you wish to move to another federal state.
To do this, you must submit a corresponding application to the relevant immigration authority.
The requirements can also be fulfilled by a family member of the applicant.
The responsible immigration authority may request further documents from you in individual cases.

The settlement permit is an unlimited residence title and entitles the holder to pursue gainful employment. The requirements for obtaining it vary depending on the purpose of residence.
