Procedure details

Purpose

The full-time integration guides are intended to provide practical support to volunteers working in the field of asylum and integration at a local level. The aim is to create reliable framework conditions for voluntary work, to strengthen networking between regional players and to provide further training for volunteers, as well as to recruit and efficiently place additional volunteers.

Object

Funding is provided for full-time integration guides to support volunteers at municipal level (rural districts and independent cities) in accordance with the funding purpose.

Recipients of funding

Recipients of funding are the administrative districts and independent cities in Bavaria. However, the local authority can make use of third parties.

The people deployed should have their own experience in the field of volunteering. Practical experience in the field of volunteer coordination and in supporting people with a migration background is also helpful.

The funding body provides funding for up to 80% of eligible expenses for up to three years as part of partial funding. The new funding guideline, which will apply from January 1, 2024, will further increase the maximum funding amount of EUR 60,000, which has already been increased to EUR 100,000 for 2022 and 2023 via Ukraine-related special funding, to up to EUR 130,000 per funding recipient per year. The applicant must provide an appropriate own contribution of at least 10% of the total eligible expenditure, which can also be provided via third-party funds.

Applications for funding must be submitted to the Government of Middle Franconia (Department 15), which decides on them (granting authority).

The approval period is up to three years.

Applications must be submitted using the forms available from the granting authority. A copy (with attachments) must be sent to the State Ministry of the Interior, Sport and Integration in digital form only.

Further details on the application and approval procedure can be found in the guidelines.

Applications for funding must be submitted before the start of the approval period by November 15 of the previous year at the latest. The granting authority may be notified of any changes after the application has been submitted by March 15 of the approval period at the latest.
