In addition to the available educational media, schools and other institutions located in the district can generally also borrow equipment from the media center or the district image center and receive practical help on how to use it.
In most media centers, projection equipment such as projectors, video and photo cameras and projectors for a wide variety of film formats can be borrowed. Some media centers also lend out mobile devices, VR glasses, 3D printers, robotics equipment and audio equipment, for example, or provide training rooms.
Media centers (formerly district picture centers) are facilities of the district and the independent cities. Among other things, they create images, videos, DVDs and online media relating to the district and work together with museums and local history societies.
Schools, kindergartens, clubs, associations and similar institutions located in the district can borrow media from the media center or the district image center that are in compliance with licensing laws. Online-based lending is becoming increasingly important.
