Persons who come into contact with food on a professional basis (e.g. in restaurants, bakeries, butchers, etc.) require instruction (initial instruction) in accordance with Section 43 of the Infection Protection Act (IfSG) before starting work for the first time. Only the public health department or a doctor appointed by the public health department may carry out this initial instruction. You will receive a certificate that is generally valid for life. However, the certificate of initial instruction must not be older than three months when you first start work.
