If certain conditions are met, a certificate can be issued that proves the continuation of your settlement permit despite your stay abroad. This is because your residence permit may expire if you leave Germany for a non-temporary reason or for more than six months! The certificate can be applied for fully electronically by registering on the "My Nuremberg" service portal or "as a guest".
